Directions to the Yurt
Coming from town, you will want to head north on Quadra St. Quadra becomes W.
Saanich Rd. Stay on W. Saanich until Old W. Saanich forks off to the right.
Continue on Old W. Saanich until you come to a 3 - way fork. Stay on Old W.
Saanich by turning to the left, but staying on the middle fork. (Oldfield Rd.
goes off to the right, there is another street that makes a hard left.) Carry
on down Old W. Saanich until you come to a small street on the left called
Killdeer. Make a left onto Killdeer (you will see signs for the yurt), & your
first driveway on the left is the driveway for the yurt. Additional parking can
be accessed further down Killdeer, if the parking area is full. See you there!
Coming from the ferry terminal, take Highway
17 to McTavish Rd. (just past Airport). Turn Right and continue to
the end. Turn Left on to West Saanich Rd. This is the scenic route.
You will pass through two reservations , Paquichan and Tsarlip, and
through Brentwood Village. At the 2nd traffic light (Keating Cross
Rd.) you will see the Butchart Gardens sign as well as Butterfly
World, a gas station and restaurant. Continue on West Saanich for
another approx. 500 metres. Veering off to the left will be OLD West
Saanich Rd. on which you will continue for approx 1 mile. Right
on Killdeer Rd. until the driveway marked by a Peace Pole. This
takes you to one parking area by the house. Continue on the main
road further to accesses the lower parking area (a short distance
and again on left). In both cases, park your vehicle the front
facing in (not parallel) to allow for maximum parking space. Thank
